I'm a speaker!

Crazy how God works. The other day, I was sharing with a friend how I hoped someday I would have the opportunity to speak at a conference. It's something that terrifies me, but also a skill I think I could be good at with some experience.

So... that very day (or maybe the next), I got an e-mail from a friend in the biz who heard from the MinistryCom conference organizer that they had a speaker who had to back out and they were looking for someone to cover his topic. And he thought of me!

Wow! This is a national conference is in it's third year and is just for professionals who work in church communications. It runs about 500 attendees from all over the country.

I'm leading a workshop that I've titled: The Power of a Story. I'll be sharing about finding, writing and using stories of life change in your church.

Check out my talk outline and bio. And if you think of it, say a prayer for me Sept 18-19.

I'm excited for you, check out this blog from from a guy who will be one of the keynote speakers at this event. I've just started reading his stuff and he is sarcastic . . . which I love . . . and he reminds me of Andy! If you don't like his style pass it on to ghetto he'll love it!

Cool! You'll do great, Jenni. I pray your talk inspires folks to share their lives/stories/relationships with those beyond the walls of their church buildings. Love the last line of the profile "...and enjoy Qdoba burritos and Blizzards at DQ." [Ah]

You're going to rock, Jenni! Your big brains will have such a story to share for us church communicators who try to balance life and ministry and hearing God speak.

I really like the title of your blog post prior to this. Perhaps that could be a subtitle for your session ... "The Power of a Story ... Eat, sleep, poo"

You will be an awesome presenter. Going back to our younger days in summer writing classes, I knew you were destined to be great. This is definitely your talent and it is great that God is giving you an outlet to display your talent and creativity. Can't wait to hear how it goes!
